JP (aka João Pedro Galvão) (b. 1993, Brazil) is a visual artist, curator and mediator who works transdisciplinarily with contemporary art, photography and video. Based in Paris (FR).
He collaborates closely with artists and curators, prioritising accessibility, diversity and representativeness in his curatorial practice. He curated the exhibition ‘as cidades ocultas’ (hidden cities) at AtelierB12 in 2024, followed in 2025 by the solo exhibition of Rafaela Salgueiro, and has increasingly dedicated himself to video art and analogue photography.
In the past, he has worked with several galleries and museums, including Open Eye Gallery (UK), Lion Salt Works Museum (UK), Verbeke Foundation (Belgium), Galeria Vera Cortês (Portugal) and Fitzpatrick Gallery (France), as well as assisting artists such as Alexandre Farto AKA Vhils, Sofia Crespo and Entangled Others.
